DJEBAH TO DELIVER SWEDEN'S FORUM LECTURE

Former Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr Oma Djebah is to deliver this year's Sweden's Forum lecture. Sweden's Forum House, also known as Forum Building, is a global watch dog forum for policy makers in all theatres of life, including the Media, across the world.

The event which comes up on September 6, at the Forum House, Orebro University, Sweden would be attended by high level players in the public and private sectors across Europe, North America, Asia and Africa.

Mr Djebah, with a rich professional experience in private and public sectors spanning over two decades,  has in the last 15 years delivered insightful public lectures at strategic global forums across North America, Europe and Africa. Mr Djebah is the first and only Nigerian Journalist (and the second African Journalist-the first being South Africa's Dianna Games) to have addressed the United Nations, UN, on the invitation of the leadership of the UN in New York in 2006.

Djebah who is expected to speak on the theme: 'The Journalist in Government; Hidden facts and fallacies,' has served at both the State and Federal levels in Nigeria in various capacities. He has worked in various capacities in leading Nigerian newspapers, including Thisday and The Guardian.

In 2002, he was appointed by the Federal Government as member of a the team of experts to draw up policy frameworks for the implementation of the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD).

Author of a new book, titled: Niger Delta Crisis: Media and Peace building Options, to be launched soon, Djebah is happily married to Harmony and they are blessed with two children.
