SAN FRANCISCO, June 15, (THEWILL) – The shape of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s cabinet emerged today with the screening of Eleven (11) former Ministers and an ex Presidential Adviser by the State Security Service (SSS) at its “Yellow House” headquarters in Abuja.

This is coming 18 days after the President took his Oath of Office and barely 24 hours after THEWILL published a report where we urged President Jonathan to fulfill his Inauguration-Day pledge by naming his cabinet Ministers without further dilly-dallying.

Those screened by the SSS according to THEWILL source include: Former Minister, Niger Delta Ministry, Elder Godsday Orubebe; former Petroleum Minister, Mrs. Dieziani Allison-Madueke; former Presidential Adviser on Power, Professor Bath Nnaji; Former Attorney General of the Federation, Mr. Mohammed Adoke; former Minister of Health, Dr. Onyebuchi Chukwu; former Information Minister, Mr. Labaran Maku and former Labour and Productivity Minister, Chief Chukwuemeka Ngozi Wogu.

Others include: Former Foreign Minister, Mr. Odein Ajumogobia, SAN; former FCT Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed; former Minister of Defence, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode; former Special Duties Minister, Navy Captain Caleb Olubolade and former Minister of Education, Professor Ruqqayatu Rufai.

The appointees are expected to appear before the Senate as soon as the upper chamber of the National Assembly can reconvene.

THEWILL further gathered that another batch of nominees would be sent to the SSS for screening, but it is however unclear when that would be done.
