President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Aminu Maigari, says he will not interfere with the recall of Osaze Odemwingie to the national team because the sensitive issue is purely technical.

In an interview in Ijebu Ode on Sunday, Maigari said that he had instructed members of the technical committee to liaise with coach Samson Siasia to find a way of resolving the face-off between the duo, but added that he will only advise them rather than dictate to them on how best to resolve it.

He said: It is true that Nigeria needs the services of Osaze to prosecute the remaining Nations Cup qualifiers but you must agree with me that discipline must also be maintained.

' I know that Nigerians will not want a situation where players will become bigger than their coach because the relationship between coaches and players is like father and son relationship.

So, I have mandated the Technical Committee to find a way of resolving the face-off and I am sure that before our next game, it would have been resolved and Osaze will come back to the team.

This issue is technical and it must be approached technically, so I want Nigerians to be patient with us as we find a solution to it.

Again, I want to say that indiscipline will not be condoned in any of our national teams because if we do, it will destroy everything that we have built'.

Maigari also called on stakeholders to join his administration's effort at making Nigeria football great again and ignore other distractions that are rearing their head.

' There is no crisis in Nigeria football, what we have are people who have different ambitions coming together to distract us, but I can tell you that we shall not bulge.

We have the backing of the Federal Government, FIFA and the congress, so we are not perturbed by their activities.
