From IMO state there are allegations of hijack of three ballot boxes by the speaker of the state assembly, Goodluck Opia, aided by some thugs.

According to our correspondent, the incident happened at the Ohaji area. The polling units are PU007, PU008 and PU009.

And in Oyo State, Governor Bayo Akala has called on security agents to ensure those alleged to be in possession of thumbprinted ballot papers in Iseyin, face the full wrath of the law.

Meanwhile, Kamoru, son of late Ibadan strongman, Lamidi Adedibu was reportedly quizzed by police in the Mapo area of Ibadan over alleged electoral malpractice . Pointblanknews. Com however learnt Kamoru who lost his bid to represent the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), at the National Assembly was later left off the hook.

In the Oluyole council area, voting was peaceful with minimal turnout. Council boss, Kehinde Olaosebikan described the exercise as encouraging but expressed dismay at the Iseyin incident.

Voters in the Olopomewa area refused to be accredited with a copy of the voters register, insisting on the original.
