Pasuma returns from American tour - Acquires Chrysler 300L model car - Plans collabo with 10 artiste
POPULAR fuji musician, Alabi Pasuma returned from a three-month tour of the United States last week with a promise that he has returned to change the face of fuji music and the nation's entertainment industry at large.
Speaking with Rhythms and Vibes during the week in Lagos, Pasuma revealed that he toured 21 states in the United States within his three months stay in the God's owns country.
“I had a succesful tour, it was my best so far, I give thanks to God for the direction of my career,” he said.
As a proof of his new status, the Orobokibo fuji creator acquired a 300L model white Chrisler car with special registration number WAP 1 to increase the numbers of cars in his garage.
Speaking further, the Oro, Kwara State born musician said he's set to do a collaboration with about 10 leading hip hop artistes in Nigeria, saying hip hop has come to stay in Nigeria.
“Hip hop music has come to stay in Nigeria and I belong to that generation that believe in its survival. You will recall that I was the first fuji artiste to do a collabo with hip hop artistes in Nigeria in 1997 when I did a song with The Remedies entitled, Jealousy.
“After that, I have done collabo with over 15 hip hop artistes and I believe its a plus for the entertainment industry in Nigeria because it provided room for creativity and reduce rivalry while at the same time it creates job opportunity,” he said.
On the artistes he's going to do collabo with, he mentioned 9ice, Eedris Abdulkareem, Lord of Ajasa, Ruggedman, Olu Maintain and others. Entitled, Paso Reloaded, the eight track album is expected to hit the market within the first quarter of next year and a pointer to the fact that he meant business is the array of outstanding creative music producers he had contacted to produce the album.
“The album is going to be produced by ID Cabassa with support from Puffy T and we are also trying to get the attention of the ever busy Cobhams for a nice production” said Pasuma adding that it is an initiative of his .management company, A021 Media.
