It was a fantastic night as celebrities and fashionistas from all over Africa converged on Landmark Village, Victoria Island, Lagos recently, for a black carpet dinner. The event saw celebs in creative wears troop out in their hundreds to enjoy a fabulous night of music and dance, fashion and style, and a lot to eat and drink.

The FAB fashion show, showcasing exclusive designs from VLISCO'S latest fabric collection; Gallery Of Poems by Nigeria's own Lanre Da Silva-Ajayi and celebrated designer MAI, Ghanaian label Jil Couture and budding Nigerian talent from the UK and Re Bahia made the evening colourful as models paraded the stylish designs made from VLISCO'S latest Fabric.

The event turned out to be a massive gathering of notable personalities from different walks of life who have a lot in common, especially a passion for fashion.

Entertainers such as Sasha, Eldee, Seyi Law, Bez and Mo'cheddah thrilled the crowd with their performances, while Tee-A and Vixen guided guests through the night.

'It's a honour to be able to bring all these great people together under one roof, to celebrate an art that is important to all of us. I'm excited about how everything has played out; and particularly happy about the FAB awards to 25 deserving recipients', Publisher Familusi Akin Babajide says.

Those honoured with the FAB awards include Genevieve Nnaji, Ramsey Nouah, Banky W, Lanre Da Silva-Ajayi and Jimmy JATT.

Lanre Da Silva (Designer of the year- West Africa), David Tale (Designer of the year -South Africa), Isio Wanoghio (Model of the year -female), TY Ogunkoya (Model of the year-Male), Banke Meshida Lawal (Make-up artist of the year), Ugo Igbokwe (Hair Stylist of the year), Ijeoma Ndekwu (Fashion Writer of the year), Kelechi Amado Obi (Fashion photographer of the year) and Dimeji Alara (Fashion stylist of the year).

FAB Magazine is Nigeria's leading international fashion journal. The all-colour, all- gloss fashion and lifestyle publication teamed up with lush label VLISCO to bring fashion lovers an unprecedented night of fun and festivity. Guests told journalists the event is one of the best fashion 'gigs' ever held in Lagos. It was also a night when some people were given awards for their achievements in the style industry.
