COACH WANTS WLADIMIR TO FACE HAYE

By NBF News

TRAINER Emanuel Steward has urged Wladimir Klitschko to fight David Haye – for the sake of world boxing.

The heavyweight division has gone stale in recent years due to the dominance of the Klitschko brothers, while Haye's last fight was a three-round mismatch with Audley Harrison. WBA champion, Haye, now claims to have met all Wladimir Klitschko's demands and is willing to split the purse equally.

Steward, who has helped guide the careers of ring legends, Oscar De La Hoya, Thomas Hearns and Britain's own Lennox Lewis, has now told his man to put pen to paper on the contract.

'These guys should stop arguing over every nickel and dime and get this fight done,' Steward said. 'It's gotta be 50-50 all the way. Get this fight signed as soon as possible for the good of boxing.'
