NAMPAK RECORDS N4.5B TURNOVER IN 2010

NAMPAK Nigeria plc has posted N4.5 billion turnover in its 2010 operations as against N4.1 billion recorded in 2009.

Specifically, the company's audited result for the year ended September 30, 2010 showed a turnover of N4.5 billion higher than N4.1billion recorded in the comparable period in 2009 while profit after tax rose to N214.6 million from N42.5 million in 2009.

Similarly, audited result of Enamelware Plc for the year ended April 30, 2010 showed a turnover of N2.3 billion compared to N2.4 billion recorded in the comparable period in 2009. Its profit after tax stood at N74.9 million compared to profit after tax of N63.5 million in 2009.

For Nestle Nigeria Plc, its unaudited result for the third quarter ended September 30, 2010 showed a turnover of N59 billion over N49 billion achieved in the comparable period in 2009 while profit after tax also increased to N9.1 billion from N7.2 billion in 2009.

Unaudited result of FTN Cocoa Processors Plc for the third quarter ended September 30, 2010 showed a turnover of N680 million as against N901million posted during the comparable period in 2009. Its profit before tax stood at N12.4 million compared to profit after tax of N205 million in 2009.

Associated Bus Company Plc forecasts a turnover of N1.4 billion and profit after tax of N72.3 million during the first quarter ending March 31, 2011 while Beta Glas Plc forecasts a turnover of N1.8 billion and profit after tax of N133.7 million during the first quarter ending March 31,2011.

AG Leventis Plc's turnover is expected to increase to N3.5 billion during the first quarter ending March 31, 2011 with profit after tax of N88.4 million at the same period.

Vonofoam Plc forecasts a turnover of N392.8 million and profit after tax of N34.3 million during the first quarter ending March 31, 2011.
