2011 Presidential Election; Atiku's life and Survival depend on it.

Source: huhuonline.com

Without sounding exaggerated, from the way and utterances of Alhaji Atiku Abubukar, it is manifestly clear that his life and survival depends on the 2011 presidential election. When it has became clear to him that Dr Goodluck Jonathan will definitely contest the election on the platform of the PDP, he resorted to all forms of dubious means like faking opinion polls and bribing journalists. When all these illegal, immoral and dubious means failed, he has finally came out of his shell to say that he will resort to violence to take power at all cost.

In this case, since he has vowed to resort to violence, his want of power is not about service to the people but certainly for aggrandizement and his hidden personal agenda.

Reeling out his presidential attempt since 1992 recently in Lagos, he said he stepped down at various times in 1992 and 1993 for General Shehu Yar'adua, Alhaji Babangida Kingibe and Chief MKO Abiola respectively. He equally said he stepped down for Chief Olusegun Obasanjo in 1998.

Well we are not disputing his self-pride, he cannot however turn history on his head just to suit his ambition to be president of Nigeria at all cost whether through hook or crook. It is however a fact of history that Alhaji Atiku Abubukar was defeated by Dr Bala Takaya for the gubernatorial ticket of the SDP for Adamawa State in 1992 and Atiku took Dr Takaya to court and they were both disqualified. Therefore Atiku Abubukar never contested the SDP presidential primaries in 1992.

Again he contested for the governorship of Adamawa State in 1999 which he won in questionable ways before Chief Olusegun Obasanjo catapulted him to the presidency against all wise counsel that time. The favorite for the position of the vice presidential slot were Professor Jubril Aminu and Alhaji Abubukar Rimi.

Just like his master IBB, Atiku has mastered the acts of lying for the sake of power.

Atiku Abubukar who cannot explain the source of his wealth cannot be trusted with leadership of Nigeria . That he has a house worth 500 million naira in America is enough to disqualify from seeking any elective position in Nigeria.

Atiku has all forms of corruption hanging on his head from COJA to Halliburton to PTDF and even his Nigeria Customs Service.

Let Atiku explain to Nigerians where he got his unexplained wealth after just 20 years in the customs service of Nigeria.

No to corrupt people in leadership position in Nigeria otherwise the international community will laugh at Nigeria as a country which promotes corruption.

No also to dubious politicians who want to take over power through violence and blackmailing their opponents.
