The singing duo of Peter and Paul Okoye who make up the group, P-Square proved right the saying that a Prophet has no name in his native land when they were announced King of the night at the recently held Ghana Music Awards.
The Nigeria Hip-Hop sensation and Do Me masters were double elated when climbed the rostrum to pick up the prestigious award as the Best African Act for the year 2007.

An on their road to success, they beat such heavy weight like MTv Base winner, Tu Face, Ghana's Batman Samini, the man who clinched the MOBO awards ahead of P-Square last year in London and Kenya's Nameless. The award was won last year by Nigerian's D'Banj.

Except for the award they picked up at the 2007 edition of the Nigerian Music Video Awards, the set of twins were however unlucky this year, as they couldn't muster enough votes from the judges to win at the 2008 editions of the Hip-Hop World Awards and the Sound City Music Video Awards.

In the event compered by one of Ghana's superstar artistes, the set of twins R&B sensation amplified the excitement of the night when they mounted the stage to give a fascinating performance of the hit number, 'Do Me', as characteristic of them. The Ghanaian crowd were awfully thrilled as even Nigeria's Chief Dele Momodu, -Publisher, Ovation commented on the duo's feat.

In another development, the singing sensation P-Square have squealed that their long-awaited, much- talked-about VCD collection will be out in the market this month. Containing hit numbers like Ifunnaya, 'Roll it', 'No one be like you' and 'More Than a Friend', the brothers' manager, Jude Okoye refused to quantify in monetary terms exactly how much it cost to put the videos together saying that it cost a lot.

It is no news that the boys acquired 35mm celluloid camera with which they shot all the videos, so one can expect clean pictures and sound.
