RIVERS 2011 GUBER : AMAECHI TO DECLARE TOMORROW

Rivers State Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi will tomorrow publicly declare his intention to seek re-election for a second term in office at the 2011 gubernatorial elections. The Director, Media and Publicity of the Amaechi 2011 Re-election Campaign Organisation, Mr. David Iyofor who revealed this stated that the declaration would be a memorable one and called on all Rivers people to be part of the Amaechi project for continued and sustained development of the state and its people.

'We are calling on the entire Rivers public to come out and support Governor Amaechi as he tells the whole world of his ambition to run for a second term, his drive to better the lot of Rivers people and reposition the state to greater heights.' Iyofor said.

President Goodluck Jonathan is the Special guest of honour at the event which would no doubt give Rivers people a reason to reminisce on what they had been through in recent past and the overwhelming change effected by Governor Amaechi and his administration.

'The event will also attract dignitaries from across the world who believes in the Amaechi project, people who are proud of the work, the relative peace and speedy developmental transition in Rivers State powered by the governor in less than four years of his administration.'

Iyofor further stated that people from the 23 local government areas of the state were expected to grace the occasion. 'We urge you to come and support your governor, this great achiever whose political heartbeat is rebuilding Rivers, repositioning the people for excellence, from the children to the youth to the aged. He represents the change you can see and feel.

'Come and be part of history as we join hands with Governor Amaechi to finish the Rivers project. We believe that one good term deserves another and Amaechi merits this opportunity for giving Rivers people a taste of quality, good governance with transparency and accountability as his watchword.

'We believe that your choice of who rules you next term is now based on values. Governor Amaechi's stride in health, education, infrastructure, power and lots of other sectors is phenomenal and he deserves your support as he openly declares his intention to contest for a second term in an epoch making event tomorrow at the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt.'
