The Federal Capital Territory Administration and the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Millennium Development Goals spent N13.824bn on MDG projects in the FCT between 2006-2010, according to the FCT Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed.

The minister, who made the claim while receiving the Senior Special Assistant to the President on MDGs, Hajiya Amina Az-Zubair in his office on Tuesday, stated that the money was spent on improving the lot of ordinary residents of the territory.

Mohammed said the FCT Administration had established a Project Support Unit, which had been undertaking a range of initiatives on all MDGs projects aimed at accelerating the attainment of the MDGs by 2015. He said some of the notable achievements recorded with the support of the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on MDGs included 188 community water schemes projects completed and now operational across the six area councils of the territory.
