Students Can Visit University Without Leaving Home

By Joanna Colburn

Potential students from Ghana are invited to experience the University of Derby without leaving home, via a virtual online open day on Thursday October 28 2010.

Anyone interested in studying at the University of Derby, which is based in the East Midlands of the UK, can sign up to the virtual open day where they can speak to our academic staff and current students over the internet to discover what studying and living in Derby will be like. They can ask anything - from questions about a specific course, to accommodation, to what social things there are to do in Derby.

The innovative virtual open day uses WIMBA technology, meaning online visitors will be able to see exactly who they're talking to.

There are two sessions on October 28 2010 at 11.00am - 12.00 noon and 1.30pm – 2.30pm (UKtime). For more information and to book a place, visit www.derby.ac.uk/ivod
