“Next Black Bull” – Amokachi Backs Tammy Abraham’s Move To Beşiktaş
Former Super Eagles forward, Daniel Amokachi, has expressed strong support for Tammy Abraham following his move to Turkish giants, Beşiktaş.
Abraham, who was born in England to Nigerian parents, joined Beşiktaş on loan from AS Roma for the 2025–2026 season. The loan deal includes an option to buy, with the Turkish side set to pay €2 million as the loan fee. Should they choose to make the move permanent, Beşiktaş will pay Roma €13 million in instalments starting from the 2026–2027 season, extending through to 2030.
Abraham, a product of Chelsea’s youth academy, has played for several top clubs including Aston Villa, AC Milan, and most recently AS Roma. Despite representing England internationally, the 27-year-old maintains a strong connection to his Nigerian roots.
Amokachi, who enjoyed a successful four-year stint at Beşiktaş — scoring 25 goals and providing 23 assists in 112 appearances — believes Abraham has what it takes to thrive in Turkey.
Speaking to Süperbahis, Amokachi said, “Tammy, I see the potential in you to become the next Black Bull.” The nickname “Black Bull” is often associated with powerful and dominant forwards in Turkish football, and Amokachi clearly sees Abraham fitting that mould.
He added that Abraham would quickly become a fan favorite at Beşiktaş, provided he delivers goals consistently. “You can count on that. This season is going to be something special,” he said with optimism.
The former Nigerian international's endorsement is likely to boost confidence in Abraham’s signing among Beşiktaş supporters. As the new season approaches, all eyes will be on Abraham to see if he can replicate or even surpass Amokachi’s legacy at the Istanbul-based club.
