FAYEMI IS VISUALLY IMPAIRED, NEEDS DELIVERANCE – ONI’S AIDE

By Lere Olayinka

Chief Press Secretary to Ekiti State Governor, Wale Ojo-Lanre has urged the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) governorship candidate in the State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi to seek help from the Cuban Doctors at the State Ophthalmology Centre, Ado-Ekiti, so that he can be able to see the over 400 kilometres of road already completed by the Governor Segun Oni-led administration, adding that; “Only a visually impaired person can say that the State Government has not successfully executed any project as claimed by Fayemi.”

Reacting to Fayemi's claim in a newspaper interview that no project has been successfully executed by the State Government, Ojo-Lanre said; “such statement could only come a Kayode Fayemi, who is more like a foreigner in Ekiti.”

The governor's spokesman, who advised Fayemi to move closer to Ekiti people that he is seeking to govern instead of playing media politics and turning himself to a personal aide of a former governor added that; “It is obvious that Kayode has lost touch even with happenings in Isan-Ekiti, his hometown. If he has not, he would have at least seen the completed 7.5km Isan-Ilemeso road and the dilapidated primary school building that was pulled down and reconstructed. The Onisan, Oba Sunday Owolabi even attested to this good work at a public function at Ijurin-Ekiti, a year ago when he said that; 'I thought the building was merely going to be renovated but Governor Oni directed the reconstruction.”

“If Fayemi cannot see developmental projects in his own hometown, it is obvious that he needs help to be able to see the 16 kilometres Isinbode-Iro-Federal-Iro-Irun road, which links Iro-Ekiti to other towns in the State; the 29.1 kilometres Oke Ayedun –Ipao – Oke Ako – Irele road; the 10 kilometres Ita-Awure – Ido-Ile road; the 20.1km Ido-Otun-Kwara Border road; the 10.5 Ita-Ido – Ido-Ile road; the 13.2km Otun-Erinmope-Kwara Border road; the 4.2km Orin-Ido-Orin Farm Settlement road; the 32.1km Emure-Supare road; the 5.9km Egbe-Imesi road; 6.0km Igbara-Odo – Ibuji road; the 17.0km Omuo-Oke – Omuo-Odo – Itapaji Dam road; the 29.8km Agbado-Ode-Omuo road, the 10km Omuo-Eda Ile road; the 4.6km Ifaki-Orin-Ora road, the 21.9km Ikogosi-Ipole Iloro-Efon Alaaye road; the 13.2km Emure-Eporo road; the 9.6km Iludun-Eda Oniyo-Obo Ayegunle Boundary road; the 4.2km Ifaki township road; the newly completed 26km Ijero-Ikoro-Okemesi road among other roads already competed and now being used by Nigerians, including Fayemi himself.

“Apart from the above listed roads, Fayemi also needs help to be able to see the world class Eye Centre, which is second to none in the entire West Africa Sub-Region; the newly equipped theatre at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH), Ado-Ekiti, the ongoing new General Hospital in Ado-Ekiti; the 115 Blue Hospital already completed; the

146,955 furniture provided for students and teachers, the Digital Education Project under which 1,650 (Internet Ready) free laptops have been distributed to SSS2 students; the over 3,000 classrooms constructed; the 2,031 scholarship awarded to Ekiti students from secondary to PhD levels; over 300 Housing units completed at both Ado and Ifaki-Ekiti among other numerous projects.

“Also, the 132/33 KVA power station, which has been abandoned many years ago is now ready for commissioning with a 50KVA injector, just as Governor Oni has facilitated the construction of an airport in the State,” Ojo-Lanre said.

While describing Fayemi as a man notorious for deceit, who urgently needs deliverance, the governor's spokesman said; “honestly this Kayode of a boy does not wish Ekiti people well. He loves to lie even about himself all in an attempt impress his paymasters with a view to collecting more money.

“He obviously has not realised that God abhors people who call His name in the day time and go about performing rituals in the night.

“Our advice to him is that he should search his mind for what he has done to offend God because it is obvious that God is not happy with him. Or can God be happy with a man, who paid elderly women to walk nude on the Streets of Ado-Ekiti, the State capital, performing rituals on the eve of the April, last year's rerun polls? It is certain that God can never be happy with a man, who presided over the budgeting of fund for juju, forgery of documents and destruction of properties belonging to his kinsmen all because he wanted power.

“Fayemi surely needs deliverance. No wonder, the Redeemed Christians Church of God (RCCG) has taken over his campaign office at Ajilosun, Ado Ekiti.”
