NFF Announces Venues for Super Falcons' Friendlies Against Cameroon
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed the venues for the upcoming friendly matches between the Super Falcons and Cameroon, set to take place ahead of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The two teams will face off in a double-header, with the first match scheduled for Friday, May 30, at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne. The second friendly will take place in Lagos at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Tuesday, June 3.
These fixtures are part of the Super Falcons' preparations for the 2024 WAFCON, where they will compete in Group B alongside Botswana, Tunisia, and Algeria.
Super Falcons coach Justine Madugu’s team last played in December against France’s Les Bleues, and these friendlies will serve as a crucial test for the nine-time African champions as they fine-tune their squad for the continental tournament.
The NFF is hopeful that the match-ups with Cameroon will provide the necessary competitive edge as the Falcons aim to secure their 10th WAFCON title. Fans will be looking forward to seeing how the team performs in these pivotal fixtures as they prepare for the challenge ahead.
