President Jonathan in NY for 37 hrs ..… What he will be doing!

Huhuonline.com can disclose that President Goodluck Jonathan's arrived JFK airport this morning for the 65 th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York . Our checks reveals that he arrived at 0600 hrs and was received by   Mrs. Joy Ugwu, permanent representative of Nigeria to the United Nations; Dr. Ade Adefuye, Nigerian Ambassador to the United States , Dr. Aganga, Minister of finance, and the minister of Education. Official sources said that the President`s team is made up of a 44 man delegation.  

  President Jonathan is expected to be in the United States for 37 hours, and his itinerary is as follows:    

  0600 hrs          -    Mr. President arrives JFK Airport , New York to be received by the permanent representative of Nigeria to the United Nations  

  0000 hrs          - Departs the Airport for Ritz Carlton Hotel    

  0000 hrs          -    Arrives Hotel    
  0000 hrs          - Settling in    
  0070 hrs            - The permanent Representative of Nigeria to the UN to brief Mr. President on details of his programme.  

  0830 hrs           -    Private Breakfast    
  0900 hrs          -     Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the UN to brief Mr. President    

  0930 hrs          - Mr . President departs Hotel for the UN General Assembly Hall    

  1000 hrs            - General debate for 65 th UNGA begins  

  1100 hrs          -    Mr. President meets with the UN Secretary General,Mr. Ban Ki- Moon    

  1120 hrs           -    End of meeting    
  1125 hrs      -         Departs UN Headquarters for Hotel .

  1310 hrs -     Mr. President returns to the United Nations Headquarters to SG`s Luncheon    

  1315 hrs -    Official Luncheon of hosted by H. E. Mr. Ban ki Moon, the Secretary - General of the United Nation in honour of   Heads of government, at the UN visitors lobby.  

  1450 hrs   - Mr. President departs venue for the Security Council Chambers.    

  1500 Hrs   - Summit Level Meeting of the Security Council on 'Ensuring   the Security Council's effective role in maintaining international peace and security' under the Presidency   of Turkey begins Security Council Chambers ( Old Building )       1700 hrs - Meeting on peace and security ends    

  1705 hrs   -   Mini - Summit on Somalia begins in Conference Room 3,NLB  

  1900 hrs - Meeting on Somalia Ends  
  1930 hrs - Mr. President departs hotel for American Museum of Natural History, Central Park West at 79 Street for a reception hosted by President and Mrs. Obama for Heads of states/ Heads of Delegations.  

  1950 hrs   - Depart venue for Waldorf Astoria Hotels to attend Gala Dinner Event hosted by the Nigerian Higher Education Foundation (NHEF)  

 
2100 hrs - Mr. President Departs Waldorf Astoria for his Hotels

  0830 hrs - Private Breakfast  
  1100 hrs - Departs Hotel to UN General Assembly  

  0000 hrs    - Mr. President delivers his statement to the 65 th Session of the General Assembly (He will be the 10 th speaker)  

  1300 hrs - Private Lunch at the Millennium Hotel  

  1400 hrs - Interactive Session with the media    

  1450 hrs - Mr. President returns to the UN Headquarters to attend high level meeting of select countries (28) on Sudan hosted by UN Secretary General at the North Lawn Building , 1st Floor. Statements to be made in alphabetical order of list of participants (3 to 5 minutes).  

  1500 hrs - High level meeting on Sudan begins in Conference Room 3NLB.  

  1700 hrs - Meeting Ends  
  1705 hrs - Mr. President departs for Airport
