Eddie Hearn Unveils Date for Anthony Joshua's Next Fight
The affirmation that Anthony Joshua will be hitting the ring again after a humiliating defeat to Daniel Dubois has inspired curiosity inquiring who he will be taking in his next fight and particularly the date for his next fight. Owing to that, Eddie Hearn, Anthony Joshua's promoter has hinted on the Date for AJ's next fight.
In recent match, result has showcased how AJ's reign is fast declining. Currently, he has lost four major matches since his first loss to Andy Ruiz in 2019. Again, in 2021, he lost his two bouts to Usyk, and fast forward to 2024, he was thrown by Daniel Dubois in his quest to be a third-time heavyweight champion winner.
The British boxer who had requested for a revenge match with Daniel Dubois has declined November 15th date fight proposed for the rematch on the ground that it is too soon and he has yet to recover from the injury he sustained in his last match with Dubois at Wembley stadium.
Consequently, many are questioning whether or when the Watford-born heavyweight will make his ring return and one fan quizzed Eddie Hearn on the subject on Instagram, whilst sharing his concern that Joshua is at his best when he is active.
In response, Matchroom promoter Hearn offered an encouraging reply, revealing that Joshua will return in the summer of 2025.
“He had 5 fights in 18 months, he will be fine. Back in the summer.”
