Rodri Releases Emotional Speech After Winning 2024 Balloon D'or

The Ballon D'or winner, Rodri has released a touching speech after claiming the prestigious award in Paris last night.

The long-time debate between Madrid football gurus, Vinicius, Bellingham and a Manchester midfielder, Rodri ended last night with a deserving Balloon d'or award delivered to Rodri. The Manchester City defensive midfielder surpassed 30 Balloon d'or nominees to win the prestigious award.

Upon winning the award, the Spanish professional footballer spoke emotionally about his journey while acknowledging his father's impact in his career.

Rodri: “One day told my father: stop, I leave football, my dream is over. But he told me… no, keep going, let’s try until the end”.

“Today I’m here and I’m proud, I have to say thanks”.
