Dubois Confirms Demons Tormenting Anthony Joshua's Mind
Daniel Dubois the International Boxing Federation heavy weight champion has attributed Anthony Joshua's regular setbacks to the manifestation of Demon's operation in his mind.
Recall that the last bout between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois happened September 21 2024. And to the surprise of the world, the British boxer Dubois defeated the Nigerian-born British boxer, Anthony Joshua to reclaim the International Boxing Federation (IBF) heavyweight title at Wembley stadium.
It only took Daniel Dubois five rounds to force Anthony Joshua into an unprecedented submission. Anthony Joshua has been consistently involved in series of defeat since his first experience of lose with the Mexican Andy Ruiz in 2019. Although, Joshua unanimously won the rematch, yet he was never the same again. He changed his style of boxing which complicated things and saw him lose to Usyk two times at different times.
He has hoped to come for a re-match with Daniel Dubois in few months time to reclaim the International Boxing Federation belt. With regards to this, many boxing analysts have advised him not to rematch, because he likely has nothing to prove again. Losing a re-match to Dubois might mean getting his name out of the list of elite boxers.
Daniel Dubois who expressed readiness for rematch with Joshua claimed that Anthony Joshua still has to battle with the demon working in his mind first in order to get things right.
“He’ll have a lot of demons playing on his mind. Who knows if people are talking him into it, I don’t know. I know from my side I’m ready to go out there and show the world that I’m the king. “That’s unfinished business [with Usyk]. I want to get that one right. I want to do it properly and finish him. It will be a good fight, a unification fight, that’s massive,” Dubois said
Dubois revealed that he would be more brutal in the next match with Joshua, and he is guaranteed of victory if they meet again.
“I think so, I think I would. I think I’d be a lot better again. “It was a great show and it was a great Rocky-type fight, but next time I believe I’ll be more clinical, more sharp and [do] everything better,” Dubois stated
