Serie A: Milan Coach Happy With Chukwueze

AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli expressed hapiness with Samuel Chukwueze’s performances.

Chukwueze made his first start for the former European champions in the 0-0 draw with Newcastle at the San Siro.

The Nigeria international didn’t make much impact in the game and was replaced by Christian Pulisic a minute after the hour mark.

Pioli however defended Chukwueze and insisted the winger did well in the game.

“I want Samu to be very open, he was used to cutting a lot inside the pitch. The idea in Newcastle’s first half was to target a full-back with another pass, in the first half we didn’t make much use of him, then I put Pulisic on. But we’re satisfied of his performance,” Pioli said.

AC Milan will face Hellas Verona in their next Serie A clash on Sunday.
