WAFCON 2024: Super Falcon’s opponent withdraw from qualifier

Super Falcons have moved into the second round of the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations following the withdrawal of their opponent, Sao Tome and Principe.

The first leg of the first round qualifying fixture w ere scheduled this weekend.

Sao Tome and Principe Football Association have notified the Confederation of African Football (CAF) of their decision to withdraw from their qualifying race.

The Super Falcons will now take on the winner of the tie between Cape Verde and Liberia in second round , which will take place between November 27 and December 5, 2023.

The winner will compete at WAFCON 2024 which will be hosted by Morocco.
