U-20 FIFA W/Cup: Brazil Demolish Dominican Republic 6-0

South American side Brazil got their U-20 World Cup campaign back on track after a 6-0 win against 10-man Dominican Republic in Group D on Wednesday.

The Brazilians went into the game on the back of a 3-2 loss to Italy while Dominican Republic opened their outing with a 2-1 loss to the Flying Eagles of Nigeria.

Savio gave Brazil the lead in the 37th minute and just one minute after the opener Marcos Leonardo made it 2-0.

On 57 minutes Jean Pedroso added the third goal before Giovane (82 minutes), Marlon Gomes (91 minutes) and Matheus Martins (93 minutes) completed the comfortable win.

Dominican Republic played the last five minutes with 10 men after Edison Azcona was sent off.

Brazil will now take on the Flying Eagles on Saturday, May 27 in a crucial game which could decide their fate at this year’s tournament.
