Novak Djokovic has secured the Tel Aviv Open title, beating Marin Cilic in the final with a dominant display.

The title is Djokovic’s first since winning his 21st Grand Slam at the Wimbledon in July. The 35-year-old did not drop a set in any of his four matches on his way to glory at his first tournament in Israel since 2006

Reacting, the Serb said: "I played some very good tennis, I think. I [didn't] drop a set the entire week”. I hadn't played a tournament in three months so it was really extra motivation for me to really do well, particularly because people have been so friendly and so supportive of me throughout the week."

Djokovic was ruled out of the US Open in August and September for refusal to get vaccinated against Coronavirus.
