Football Transfer: Rodriguez joins Olympiacos

Colombian international James Rodriguez has Greek side Olympiacos as a free agent. The attacker joined from Al Rayyan in Qatar after both parties agreed to terminate the contract by mutual consent.

A club statement released by Olympiacos read, “He’s here, welcome James Rodriguez to Olympiacos and Piraeus.

The former Real Madrid player won the Golden Boot at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with six goals in five matches.

He also played for Porto, Monaco, Bayern Munich and Everton.
