Alcaraz To Play Ruud At Us Open Final

Carlos Alcaraz will play against world number one Casper Ruud for US Open title after defeating Francis Tiafoe at the semis.

Alcaraz defeated Tiafoe 6-7 (6/8) 6-3 6-1 6-7 (5/7) 6-3 to reach the finals. The win makes the 19-year-old the youngest men’s Grand Slam finalist since Rafael Nadal achieved the feat in 2005.

Meanwhile, Ruud outsmarted Russia’s Karen Khachanov 7-6 (7/5) 6-2 5-7 6-2 in their semis clash to qualify for the tournament’s final.
