University Games: Nigeria set to host 11th edition in 2024

University of Lagos and Lagos State University in extension Nigeria will be the next host of FASU All Africa University Games in 2024. This was announced moment after the 10th edition of the games is just concluded in Kenya hosted by the Kenyatta University.

Nigeria was unveiled as the next hosts of the games at the closing ceremonies of the 10th edition.

Lagos State University and Nnamdi Azikiwe University were Nigeria’s representative at the 10th edition in Kenya and they both bagged a total of 11medals with LASU bagging 10 medals to finish 17th on the medal’s table while UNIZIk bagged just 1 (bronze) medal to finish bottom of the table.

Nigeria who was ranked 8th out of the 12 countries that participated in the 10th All Africa University Games overtakes Cote D’Ivoire who was originally scheduled to host the games in 2024.
