The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State has decried the invasion of the Appeal Court, Ilorin, Kwara State with thugs and Juju, saying; “no amount of rituals and gangterism can change the will of God.”

The PDP in a statement issued by the State Chairman, Chief Bola Olu-Ojo and made available to journalists in Ado-Ekiti today, said; “that the AC people could take their diabolism and thuggery to faraway Ilorin has confirmed that the party is averse to peace and rule of law.”

“We have been inundated with the barbaric acts carried out by the AC and its leaders in Ilorin today and to say the least, we are highly embarrassed that supposed civilised people can take their desperation for power to the shameful level of invading the Court of Appeal, Ilorin with thugs and juju.

“The AC Chairman, Jide Awe came to the court premises this morning with a black polythene bag filled with substance suspected to be juju. When he was accosted by security men, he refused to disclose the content of the bag until it was snatched from him and threw on the ground. It was when the bag was thrown to the floor that substance like palm oil and kolanut were threw out of the bag.

“Also, right inside the Court room, AC thugs were harassing innocent people while the party's Deputy Chairman, Dele Falusi turned his walking stick to weapon with which he hit one Sola Gboyega on the head,” Olu-Ojo alleged.

While describing the AC as a party of desperadoes, Olu-Ojo said; “These people have demonstrated that they are averse to peace and rule of law.

“They were the ones who invaded Ekiti with militants during the rerun election and also set the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office at Ido-Ekiti on fire. They paid our aged women to parade the Streets of Ado-Ekiti half naked to perform rituals. Now, they have taken their desperation for power to Ilorin. This is indeed shameful.”
