New Technical Adviser of Heartland FC, Samson Siasia, has stated that he came to Owerri for real business and has never anticipated failure in his new assignment.

Siasia was presented to the media in Owerri on Monday by the Imo State Governor, Chief Ikedi Ohakim, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Chief Emma Ohakim, as the man that would lead the CAF Champions League campaigner, Heartland FC in its renewed search for an African title this season.

The Beijing 2006 Olympic silver-winning coach said he accepted the offer to coach Heartland because the club has become a big name in African football and that it would serve as a good springboard for him to prove another point in his fledgling career.

Siasia said he knew most of the players he met on ground at the Owerri side and therefore, does not anticipate any problem in assembling a crack squad despite the short time the team has to resume its campaign.

Among players he had worked with at various national team levels, who are in Heartland include, goalkeepers Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Daniel Akpeyi, striker, John Owerri and defender, Kennedy Chinwo.

Siasia flew into Owerri on Monday morning to formerly assume duties with the Naze Millionaires with whom he has since moved to a closed camping in Nnewi, Anambra State.
