Nations Cup: Sierra Leone Frustrate Algeria 

Algeria began the defence of their Africa Cup of Nations title with a disappointing 0-0 draw against Sierra Leone.

The Leone Stars put up a spirited performance to frustrate the defending champions, who had scores of chances but could not beat Kamara.

Kamara was in an inspired form to help Sierra Leone to a 0-0 draw.

Alhaji Kamara wasted two good chances for Sierra Leone in the first half.

Algeria's duo of Riyad Mahrez and Yacine Brahimi also went close but Kamara was equal to the task.

Steven Caulker, who recently switched his international allegiance to Sierra Leone made two vital blocks to help them to a clean sheet.

Algeria will be back in action against Equatorial Guinea on Sunday, while Sierra Leone will take on Ivory Coast.
