Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The hosts dominated possession but they were unable to find the back of the net as the first half ended 0-0.

Sancho capitalised on a Jorginho mistake to give Manchester United the lead in the second half.

Jorginho made amend for his mistake when he scored from the spot after Aaron Wan Bissaka fouled Thiago Silva in the box.

Tuchel brought on Romelu Lukaku , Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount but all to no avail.

Cristiano Ronaldo also came off the bench for Manchester United.

Rudiger missed a glorious chance to seal all the three points for Chelsea.

Tuchel has revealed that he is happy with the team's performance despite failing to win.

"I am happy, absolutely happy. I saw a huge effort. We put the pressure up high, we were brave and courageous. While they defended deep we needed the first goal to open up a bit. If you don't score you always run a bit behind, you feel you are the stronger team. We had some chances we maybe should have used but in general I am happy how we played.

"There was a nice piece of play in the last minute. Would have been deserved but OK, we have to live with it."

Chelsea are back in action against Watford on Wednesday, while Manchester United will face Arsenal on Thursday.

Manchester City defeated West Ham 2-1 earlier in the day, Brentford pip Everton 1-0.
