A little under 2 years, Kalu is fast becoming the darling of Nollywood audiences. Born in England, he started his early education in Lusaka, Zambia until his father a university lecturer moved the family back to Nigeria to get closer to their Nigeria roots.
Kalu caught the acting bug by chance during a production at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). While at UNN studying English Literature, he participated in many campus stage productions including Esiaba Irobi's “Hangmen Also Die” and Ola Rotimi's “Our Husband has gone Mad Again”. Kalu graduated with a Bachelors of Arts and left for England in 1993. While in England, he continued to hone his skills at local community theatres in London. In June 2004, Kalu returned to Nigeria to join the ever growing and popular Nollywood film industry. He has since appeared in several movies and television series including but not limited to “Darkest Night”, Mnet's Doctor's Quarters and AIT's Dominos.
Kalu is sure to please his fans when “30 Days” premieres in 2006. He plays the role of Newspaper Columnist Jerry Ehime.
