Chelsea returned to winning ways after the midweek loss to West Ham by beating Watford 3-0. The Blues needed a win to restore their two points lead over Manchester United in the battle for the last Champions League slot.

Giroud gave Chelsea the lead with a cool finish in the 28th minutes, Pulisic was fouled by Capoue and the referee pointed to the spot, Willian made no mistake to increase Chelsea's lead.

The Blues were dominant and Watford offered little threat to trouble them. Ngolo Kante limped off injured and was replaced with Billy Gilmour.

Barkley scored the third goal for Chelsea with two minutes to go. Chelsea have won four successive Premier League games at Stamford Bridge for the first time since winning seven in a row at home under Antonio Conte between October and December 2017.

Arsenal defeated Wolves 2-0 courtesy of goals from Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette to continue their mini resurgence. The Gunners have now won their last three Premier League matches.

Arsenal have won three consecutive league games without conceding for the first time since November 2017, while this is the first time they have won back-to-back away league games without conceding since October 2015.

Leicester City defeated Crystal Palace 3-0 thanks to goals from Kelechi Iheanacho and a brace from Jamie Vardy.

Brighton recorded a 1-0 victory over Norwich away from home to boost their survival chances.

Burnley and Sheffield United will slug it out on Sunday, Newcastle set to host West Ham, while Champions-Elect Liverpool will welcome Aston Villa to Anfield.
