Greenwood, Fernandes On Target As Man United Brush Aside Bournemouth

Mason Greenwood scored a brace and goals from Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial to help Manchester United to a 5-2 victory over Bournemouth

Junior Stanislas gave the Cherries a shock the lead in the 15th minute, Mason Greenwood once again showed his enormous potential with the leveller for Manchester United.

Marcus Rashford gave United a 2-1 lead from the spot before Anthony Martial scored a curling effort just before the break to give the hosts a commanding lead at the end of the first half.

Joshua King reduced the deficit for Bournemouth from the spot just after the restart. Greenwood quickly responded with another stunning goal to score United’s fourth goal.

Bruno Fernandes, who has been exceptional since joining Manchester United in the January transfer window, scored a sublime free-kick to put the icing on the cake for the hosts.

Manchester United’s latest victory will put pressure on Chelsea, who are in action against Watford on Saturday night. A win for the Blues will restore their two points lead over the Red Devils.

Manchester United are now unbeaten in their last 16 matches their last defeat was against Burnley at Old Trafford in January.
