Napoli defeated Juventus 4-2 on penalties to win the Coppa Italia Cup after the regulation time ended goalless.

Paulo Dybala and Danilo missed Juve's first two efforts, Napoli converted all their penalties to deny Maurizio Sarri his first trophy in Italy.

Gianlugi Buffon was in an impressive form as he made series of saves in the regulation time to deny Napoli including a double save in the closing moments of the game.

Lorenzo Insigne hit the post with a 30-metre free kick in the first half as Napoli caused Juventus a lot of problems.

Cristiano Ronaldo was left frustrated with lack of service and he couldn't do much to save the day for the Old Lady.

Gennaro Gattuso won his first major trophy as a coach, few weeks after losing his sister.

"Football has given me so much and that is why I have so much passion for it," Gattuso said. "It's something I can't let go of, not even for a second."

"Those of who have this job must have respect for it because we're lucky. I want to see people who put passion into it, I want a sense of belonging and respect."

Juventus have failed to score since the restart, playing two matches without finding the back of the net.
