BREAKING: Taiwo Awoniyi Rushed To Hospital After Landing On His Neck 

Taiwo Awoniyi was stretchered off after being knocked out cold following a collision while contesting for a header, he landed awkwardly on his neck in the match between Mainz and Augsburg.

The Liverpool loanee was quickly rushed to the hospital for proper medical attention.

The former Nigeria youth international has been tipped for Greatness due to his style of play which has made many compare him to Rashidi Yekini.

Awoniyi joined Liverpool in 2015 from Imperial Soccer Academy in Nigeria, managed by former Super Eagles midfielder, Seyi Olofijana.

He was quickly sent out on loan because of many established attackers at Liverpool.

Awoniyi is yet to play for Liverpool, but he is highly rated by Jurgen Klopp.

Awoniyi was part of the Golden Eaglets team that won the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup, he played a major role in the competition scoring four goals.

He also represented Nigeria at the FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2015 African U-20 Championship in Senegal.

Awoniyi scored a brace for the Nigeria U-23 team on his debut against Zambia to help the team book a place at the All African Games.
