Chelsea young star, Tino Anjorin, has signed a new five-year contract with the Europa League Champions.

The 18-year-old joined the West London club at the age of six, and he has been touted as the next big thing to come out of Chelsea’s Academy.

Anjorin has represented England at the U-17, U-18 and U-19 level, but he is eligible to play for the Super Eagles, due to his father being a Nigerian.

He made his debut for Chelsea in the Carabao Cup third-round match against Grimsby Town coming off the bench against the League Two side.

It’s a brilliant feeling,’ he told the official Chelsea website. ‘I’ve been at the club since I was six years old so to get to this stage and then be offered another five-year contract on top of that is amazing.

‘I had no hesitation but to take it straight away because to play for the club I always dreamed of playing for is really special for me.’

He has made two appearances for Chelsea this season, including a Premier League debut against Everton in March, and he will be hoping to get many more opportunities when the premier league resumes on June 17.

‘Against Everton, I’ll never forget the fans singing my name because it just felt so amazing. I was on the pitch playing, and then I just heard them chanting ‘Tino, Tino, Tino’. It was unbelievable to hear that.’
