Manchester United have reportedly told their players outside the United Kingdom to return amidst uncertainties over a planned return to training.

United's players have been training at home with the help of individual fitness programmes and specialist equipment.

According to sources, January signing, Bruno Fernandes, has already returned and the club do not expect that players arriving from overseas will have to enter quarantine beyond the measure already put in place by the U.K. government.

Bruno Fernandes, Fred, Victor Lindelof and Sergio Romero were among the players given permission to leave England after consultation with Solskjaer and the club's medical staff.

United were fifth on the log, three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, with nine games remaining before the league was suspended in March.

However, the Premier League is hopeful of potential resumption of the current campaign in June at neutral venues behind closed doors but the proposals have not yet been given the green light.
