Covid-19: Sassuolo Players Back In Training

By Ibrahim Taiwo, The Nigerian Voice Sports

Sassuolo became the first Italian Serie A side to return to training after some of its players were seen on Monday afternoon running up and down the training pitch of the club.

Recall that top flight clubs were on Sunday permitted by the Nation's Prime Minister, Vincenzo Spadafora to restart individual training sessions but should not resume full training until May 18.

This is coming as a result of Italy's decision to relax the lockdown rule on Monday, allowing people to exercise and visit relatives within their region.

Meanwhile, Bologna and Atalanta have decide to begin training on Tuesday, while Inter Milan would reopen its training centre from this week

As things stands, 13 games are left to be played by most Serie A clubs, with Juventus topping the table, a point clear of Lazio.

The Italian Serie A has been on suspension since early March after the country was hit extremely by the COVID-19 pandemic.
