Manchester United former striker, Andy Cole has heap praises on Ex-Super Eagles forward, Odion Jude Ighalo for his impact so far since he joined from China in January.

Since his return to the Premier League from China, Ighalo has played a pivotal role in United's unbeaten run of over seven matches before the COVID-19 crisis, scoring four goals in eight appearances.

His performance so far has incited the Manchester United Legend, Cole to speak about the erstwhile Nigerian forward.

Speaking in a Striker’s Master Class featuring himself and Ighalo on Manchester United’s Youtube page, the ex-England international said, “I am really pleased with him. When you come to a club like Manchester United as a centre forward, everyone expects you to score straightaway, but it takes a little bit of time.”

“I think he has done pretty well when he has been given the opportunity, he has applied himself really well in the club and has scored four good goals, four centre forward goals, you can’t ask for much more,” the 48 year-old added.

Andy Cole spent six years with United during his playing days and netted 93 goals for the Red Devils.
