Communique Of The Emergency Meeting Of The Nigeria Women Football League Club Owners Association.

RESOLUTIONS :
The Nigeria Women Football League Club Owners Association arising from its Emergency meeting held on Wednesday, 30th November, 2016 at Hotel de Bentley, Utako, Abuja after exhaustive deliberations on matters affecting the Nigeria Women Football League, resolved as follows:

(1) The meeting unanimously rejects the appointments made by the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) into the Board of the Nigeria Women Football League without the participation, consent and endorsement of the Nigeria Women Football League Clubs who are the investors and stakeholders in the League and who produce the players that represent the nation in International Women Football competitions.

(2)The meeting unanimously resolved that an election or selection by the Nigeria Women Football League Clubs, should be conducted immediately to properly compose and constitute the Board of the Nigeria Women Football League before the 2016 /2017 League Season commences in line with Article 18 (1, 2 and 3) of the NFF Statutes 2010, Article 18 (1 and 2) of the FIFA Statutes and as in other countries such as South Africa as contained in Article 10.3 and 32 (1.5) of the South Africa Football Association Statutes.

(3) The meeting further unanimously resolved that the 2016/2017 Nigeria Women Football League season shall not commence until elections are conducted into the Board of the leagues.

(4)The meeting also unanimously resolved that the 25% of the FIFA Development Fund meant for the development of the Nigeria Women Football League which was the part of the 802,000 US Dollars, cash withdraw by the NFF as reported on the FIFA website, should be remitted to the Nigeria Women Football League without further delay.

(5)The meeting unanimously mandated the Exco of the Nigeria Women Football League Club Owners Association to pursue the above resolutions to logical conclusion.

(6)The meeting unanimously congratulated the Super Falcons for qualifying for the Finals of the Africa Women Championship in Cameroon and urges them to win the trophy for the nation.
