How to build a perfect wardrobe

Your wardrobe says a lot about who you are. A well- organized wardrobe shows that its owner is a careful and thorough person.
Four major points to keep in mind when setting up your wardrobe are:

Planning
Plan your wardrobe according to your needs which largely depend on your profession and the image you wish to project.
Then, plan for various occasions including clothes for the office, clothes for formal meetings, clothes for social functions and clothes for casual outings like shopping or meeting with friends.

Organising
The first step to the physical organising of your wardrobe is to take an inventory of what you already have.
Discard without regrets the following:
•Items that you have not worn for at least a year because it was an impulse buy and somehow it is simply not for you.
•Items that no longer fit because you have put on weight.
•Items that are stained.
•Items that had been your favourites and worn thin.
•Items that are out of fashion.
Next, organise what you have decided to keep as well as any new purchases.
You may want to organise them according to functions - work and party clothes. Or you may want to sub-divide this under skirts, trousers, shirts or blouses and traditional wears.
Arrange your clothes according to their colours from light to dark.
This habit saves you time when you are in a hurry, as you don't have to rummage through everything to find what matches.

Colour scheme
When building up your wardrobe, do so around most common colours and your favourite neutrals- black, white, off-white, grey, navy, beige, khaki and olive.
After a while, you'll learn what your favourite colours are. So, when you go out shopping, bear in mind what you own in your wardrobe and choose only items that will match with these.

Invest wisely
Don't buy everything in vogue because all your friends have got them. Buy clothes sensibly; mixing all-season things like jeans, T-shirts and sweaters with the chic stuff. Invest in some Ankara as well, as they are all-time native and they never go out of fashion.
For accessories, be careful not to over spend, as you can always get away with look-alikes, but only if it's just a fad of the moment. If your priority is to bring out a professional image, a clothing budget is inevitable.
