The Sai Masu Gida defender believes clinching points on the road can prove vital to their title hopes this season

Kano Pillars may be close to the top of the NPFL log and Zikiye has maintained that Masu Gida are still targeting number one spot.

Pillars, who won the Nigeria Professional Football League title thrice in a row, have been in excellent form at home but the defender believes picking up points on the road is important.

"Our aim is the title, we've not gotten a maximum point on the road but we have a strong belief that we will get it somewhere while we continue to keep our home record excellent," Zikiye told Newsmen.

"Once we get to that first spot on the NPFL log then we won't let go of such position. So let those that are there continue to enjoy it and not slip because if we happen to get there of which we will then we will build our house and stay there till the end of the season."

Kano Pillars currently sit in fourth position on the NPFL log with an outstanding match in the thirteen weeks old league.
