Queen of England honours four Nigerians

Four  Nigerians are to be honored by the Queen of England for their outstanding commitment to national growth and development through humanitarian services.

The Queen will, on Monday, at Buckingham Palace present the inaugural Queen's Young Leaders Awards to the four Nigerians.

The four Nigerians recipients are: Isaiah Owolabi, Kelvin Ogholi, Nkechikwu Azinge and Oladipupo Ajiroba.

In a statement released by the QYL, the awards was in recognition of those young people who have been exceptional in their various fields and they where selected from Commonwealth nations.

According to the statement,  this remarkable award called the, “Queen's Young Leaders Award” is given to individuals with undiluted passion and vision who are determined to see positive and lasting change in the society by transferring such spirit into others through their interactions and way of life.

Besides the four  Nigeriians, countries like Canada, India, Cameroon and South Africa have three winners each.

According to the statement, the recipients are between the ages of 18 and 29, adding that the beneficiaries are to be awarded on the initiative of supporting others, raising awareness and inspiring change in areas like education, gender equality, mental health and disability equality.
