"We Are Done With Politicking Now Is Time For Governance" Says Tambuwal

The Sokoto state Governor-elect,Hon Aminu Tambuwal, on Saturday in Yola admonishes winners at the last general elections to concentrate on people oriented projects in the state as their is much expectations in the hearts of many Nigerians.

Tambuwal, who made the call at the Government House in Yola, said people's orientaed project is an act of good governance and it was mwhat the people who voted them into offices were yearning for.

The governor-elect, who is also the Federal house of representative said upon assumption of office, the issue of politicking should be over and only bussinss of governance should be faced

He urged leaders to be honest and be committed to their mandate, advising them to link properly with the people.

According to him "they are done with politicking and now is time for governance,the only thing Nigerians are yearning for is good governance and that is why they have elected us".

"I am calling on those who emerged victorious at the last polls to face governance and stop politicking,be honest and dedicated to the mandate which the people gave to them".Tambuwal said

He also reminded the in-coming leaders to always link up with the public to avoid unnecessary conflict and mistrust.

Tambuwal described Gov. Bala Nggilari as a man of destiny, commending him for ensuring that normalcy returned to the state.

The speaker who was on his private visit thanked the Lamido Adamawa for bestowing him with the traditional title of `Wakilin Raya kasan Adamawa’.

Earlier, Nggilari commended the speaker for piloting the affairs of the House without rancor.

Nggilari said Nigerians should remain grateful to the speaker for his contributions towards democratic governance in Nigeria.

He described Tambuwal's visit to Adamawa as home coming.

Tambuwal was accompanied by Alhaji Ishaka Bawa, Majority Whip, Alhaji Sumaila Kawu, Deputy Minority Leader and Alhaji Bayero Nafada, Senetor Elect from Gombe.
