ITF expresses concern over poor government patronage

The Adamawa Area Manager of Industrial Training Fund, Alhaji Jibrin Bukar has expressed concern over lack of government patronage of the programme.

Bukar, expressed his concern in an interview with Newsmen in Yola, on Monday.

He complained that Adamawa government was not serious about the developmental programme been provided by ITF in the state.

" I am not happy about the zero participation attitude of Adamawa state government.

" Because ITF programme is directly assisting and alleviating teeming unemployed youths in the state out of poverty through skills training." Bukar said.

He said that the area of major concern with the Adamawa government was lack of support to the trainees after their graduation.

" We expect government to assist these youths with take up fund after their training to help them start their small entrepreneurship." He said.

According to the area manager,in the last three years , the fund trained over 3,000 youths in the state in various industrial skills programme.

He noted that every year, one thousand idle youths from 21 LGAs of the state were been recruited and trained in soap making, tailoring , Air fresheners and Deodorants and polythen re- cycling.

" Each trainee is giving monthly allowance of five thousand naira for the duration of three months." He added
