Mbieri Ancient Kingdom Back Okorocha, Madumere For 2015 Guber

Mbieri Ancient Kingdom in Mbaitoli Local Government of Imo State has further widen the chances of Governor Okorocha 's re-election bid as the people massively declared their support for Okorocha-Madumere and APC for 2015 general elections.

This declaration was made last Sunday at the Mbieri Youth Association Hall in Orie Mbieri during a general meeting of Mbieri people under the umbrella body of Mbieri Development Union.

It will be recalled that Mbaitoli remains the second largest local government in the Federal Republic of Nigeria and has the largest number of registered electorate in Nigeria, for which Mbieri clan can boast of over 65% of the total votes.

Speaking at all important general meeting, the President General of the apex decision making body of Mbieri clam, Dr. Jeremiah Mbgeahuru in his introductory message stated that they had gathered to deliberate on a matter that bothered on the future of Mbieri Ancient Kingdom in Mbaitoli Local Government and Imo State at large.

Continuing, Dr. Mgbeahuru went on a memory lane speaking on the effort so far made my illustrious sons of Mbieri to getting involved in the decision making in Imo State but all failed. He however said when every Mbierian least expected it, Governor Okorocha in his magnanimity crowned their son, Prince Eze Madumere who is his long time friend and political associate as the Choef of Staff, Government House. He said the height of his love for Mbaitoli in general was nominating Prince Madumere the deputy governor when there was vacuum and making him his running mate in his re-election bid.

The Leader of Mbieri people also expressed excitement with the development so far witnessed in the Local Government, reminding his people that their ancient kingdom before the emergence of Rescue Mission Government led by Owelle Rochas Okorocha, despite its electoral value was left to rot as roads were bad and other facilities were in lack in degrees.

After taking turns to speak glowingly in appreciation of the giant strides of the government, which their son is the deputy, by different representatives from the Seven Communities that make up Mbieri ancient clan, they unanimously adopted the All Progressive Congress, APC, party as their party of choice for Okorocha and Madumere's sake and asked all Mbieri sons and daughters contesting any political position in any other political party to queue behind the party's deputy governorship candidate, Prince Eze Madumere.

Chief Marcon Nlemigbo however gave insight on the unanimous adoption of the illustrious son of Mbieri which, he linked to immense developmental projects he has attracted to Mbieri. He also commended the the Governor for his giant stides in all facets especially in the area of free education from primary to tertiary level, massive Road Construction and other infrastructural facilities.

The former Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party for seven years also urged Mbieri people and communities not to gamble with the success of the APC and its candidates in the 2015 elections as it represents a great future for the Mbieri ancient kingdom and presents better prospects for development and political inclusion for the clan.

Speaking further, he advised every of their son to queue behind Prince Madumere, saying he should be celebrated for his effort and good nature, which has brought accolades to Mbieri, Mbaitoli and beyond. He therefore called for adoption of Madumere as the only known political party for 2015 elections while appealing to others aspiring for whatever elective post to drop such and vote All Progressives Congress at all levels for an optimum benefits.

Meanwhile, speaking earlier, Prince Madumere urged his people to reciprocate the love Governor Okorocha showered on them in many ways without asking for anything as a collateral. He said he became Chief of Staff and at present the deputy governor of Imo State without any gathering of his people with a view to demanding anything in return. He also averred t,hat the height of such love and care was Gov. Okorocha's choice of him as his running mate. He queried the rhetorically if they would prefer to pay Owelle with a bd coin with all he has done for them including massive developmental projects in Mbaitoli.

He urged them to show strength by not only voting APC at all levels but to do so with a very wide merging if possible with over 90 % votes cast to APC.

The seven main Mbieri communities represented are Ihitte, Awoh, Obazu, Ezii, Obi, Umueze and Amike capped the even with a symbolic prayer and blessing session where the entire elders and eminent sons and daughters of Mbieri prayed for Prince Eze Madumere and the success of all the candidates of the APC. They washed the feet of the deputy governor and Chief IB Okafor and asked them to inform the governor that Mbieri is for him during the elections. They called on all the sons and daughters of Mbieri in other political parties to queue behind Prince Madumere or face sanctions.
