Jonathan Promises To Secure Better Future For Youths

BEVERLY HILLS, February 02, (THEWILL) – The youths in the country have been promised a better future.

President Goodluck Jonathan made the promise on Monday in Gombe during his presidential campaign rally.

Maintaining that he held the youths in high esteem and would do anything to protect them and secure their future, he also promised to provide the youths qualitative education if re-elected and meet their basic needs .

He further assured the people of the state that if re-elected, his administration would complete the Dadin Kowa dam electricity project, where 40 mega watts of electricity would be generated to boost the electricity needs of the state.

Expressing gratitude to the people of the state for supporting the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu'azu, called for more support for in the February elections.

In his remarks at the rally, the state Governor, Dr. Ibrahim Dankwambo, also rallied support for President Jonathan, whom he said has really supported the state even as he urged the people to shun violence before, during and after the election, so as not to truncate democracy.

One of the hosts of the rally, the Minister for Transport, Idris Umar, expressed gratitude to President Jonathan for appointing many sons and daughters of the state into key positions in his administration.

Also at the rally were Vice President Namadi Sambo, the PDP Presidential campaign Director General, Ahmadu Ali and Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, Professor Rufa'i Ahmed Alkali and many others.
