Jim Nwobodo, former Anambra State Governor, loses son

The first civillian Governor of old Anambra State, Chief Jim Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo has lost his first son, Dr Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo Jnr.


According to a family source who confided in THE CITIZEN, Dr Nwobodo passed on last night at University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Enugu after a brief illness.


Dr Nwobodo, a medical practitioner, graduated from University of Benin over 20yrs ago, was one-time Commissioner for Youths and Sport Development in Enugu during the tenure of Governor Chimaroke Nnamani.


The first son of Chief Jim Nwobodo attened his primary school at the famous All Saints Primary now Ekulu Primary School, Enugu and was among the best athletics pupils during his time at the school


Dr Nwobodo was also son to one of the foremost broadcaster with Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Enugu Zonal Office, Mrs Mukaosolu Nwobodo.


Family, relations and political associates were sighted at his residence in Enugu to commiserate with his amiable wife and children.


At official statement has not been issued by the family as at press time.
