Crescent University Matriculates Pioneer PG Students As Alumni Plansto Build Centre

Crescent University, Abeokuta has matriculated eight pioneer post graduate students in Economics, Accounting, Computer Science and Information Technology.

The Founder of the institution, Judge Bola Ajibola who was delighted at the event, charged the students to help the university in its academic and moral excellence, noting that products of the university had demonstrated to a state in Nigeria that they are good citizens who would not participate in chaotic activities.

In his words " you should help us to be good ambassadors and we hope that we will be proud of your achievement at the end of your studies", adding that " we want you to show the whole world that we have it here".

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kehinde Okeleye noted that having graduated about six sets and securing full accreditation of the programmes put forward, there was no doubt that the university was on the right course.

Quoting the Proprietor of the institution, Okeleye said "it is a vertical progression of the university".

In another development, the Alunmi Relation Officer, Mr Hakeem Atanda-Bakare has unveiled the plan of the association to have a centre on campus.

Atanda-Bakare dropped this hint during the cocktail organized for the alumni by his office as part of the 6th convocation of the university.

In his speech, the president of the association, Kamil Adebumola emphasised the need for the alumni to have the students' centre as a way of contributing to the progress and development of the institution.

He said the project, when completed would be the first of its kind in any institution in Nigeria, observing that the building would house tutor centre, book club room, debate centre, art and craft centre and games arcade.

Welcoming the new graduands to the alumni association, Adebumola

emphasized the importance of the project, and urged every member to contribute to the achievement of the project.
